Edge Publisher build 7.7.0.4

We are please to announce, that Edge Publsher build 7.7.0.4 has been released. In this version, a new option has been added to the Unite Assembly Activity.

• It is now possible run the Unite Assembly directly on Pwd documents
• In order for this to work, the Unite Activity must be run in the “Converted” mode.
• Furthermode, regardless of the setting under “Occurrences/Show”, Pwd files are always converted “As Saved”, as the other settings only are relevant for assemblies.

Edge Publisher/Unite Assembly V7.6 and Solid Edge ST3

In case you are running Solid Edge ST3 (or earlier) and need to run Edge Publisher/Unite Assembly v7.6,  you must install a special setup package.  It can be found under downloads.

Preparing Solid Edge for Unite Assembly

When using the new “Converted” mode in the Unite Assembly Activity, it is important that you setup the Solid Edge “Save As” – options as shown below. Omitting this, will probably cause Unite Assembly to generate incorrect results.

Unite Assembly supports the Parasolid and Jt formats. Jt is slightly slower than Parasolid, but it provides the option of saving file Properties to the converted file.

We are please to announce that Edge Publisher V7.5 has been released. This version contains many fixes as welll as changes and new functionality. Particularly the unique “Unite Assembly” plugin has undergone major changes.
